Breaking the Silence

From the 1/3 Show - A Politician is Breaking the Silence - Florida State Senator Dave Aronberg

January 6, 2010 00:24 by larry

The radio show had a milestone night.  It has been difficult to find elected officials who will speak to the silent epidemic of the over distribution of narcotic prescription drugs in our state.  The silence from the politicians has been deafening unless their comments appease the special interests of the drug companies or doctors who make their living by distributing the narcotics.  The plight of individuals who started taking the narcotic pain relievers as prescribed and have found themselves accused of being "abusers" have not had a voice in this battle.

State Senator Dave Aronberg (D- District 27)   http://www.davearonberg.com/home offered a refreshing understanding of the pain clinic explosion in South Florida.  Dave had a grasp of both the problem and some solutions to the problem.  His proposed Bill before this year's legislature will focus on the convicted crooks in the pain clinic business.  His Bill will require the doctors practicing in the clinics to be licensed and in charge of the clinics.

Dave Aronberg is running for Attorney General of our state.  It is the radio show's hope to follow his progress toward his march to become Attorney General and encourage him to continue to speak to the thousands in our state who have been affected by the distribution of narcotics by the legal drug dealers - pain clinic doctors.  It is the radio show's intent to show Dave that the truth of the legal narcotic distribution is known by most and realize that it is the drug companies and doctors distributing narcotics to our streets in every community in our state who have created the silence.

Who knows, maybe Dave's comments will embarrass the Republicans in Florida to surface from the cracks on this topic.
